"Amit Shah Praises Modi Government's Firm Action against Terrorism: 'India's Blood Should Not Be Shed'"
Boldly Speaking: Shah's Uncompromising Remarks on India's Strong Stance Against Terror
In a fiery speech at a public gathering in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, Union Home Minister Amit Shah acknowledged PM Narendra Modi's assertive approach to countering terrorism, emphasizing that Operation Sindoor sends a stark message to Pakistan - India won't tolerate bloodshed, nor will it shy away from punishing those who dare to act against its sovereignty.
Criticizing the Congress for its inability to curb terror attacks during their rule, Shah recounted how terrorists strikes were a daily occurrence in cities like Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Coimbatore, Delhi, and even Kashmir. He highlighted three instances when Pakistan attempted to infiltrate India under PM Modi's leadership – Uri, Pulwama, and Pahalgam. Each time, India retaliated with a surgical strike, an air strike, and Operation Sindoor, respectively.
"Thanks to PM Modi's decisive action, India's message couldn't be clearer: our blood is not to be shed, and those who dare to spill it will face severe consequences. We have shown time and again that we will not back down," stated Shah.
Operation Sindoor, launched on May 7, engulfed nine terror sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, eliminating over 100 terrorists linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Hizbul Mujahideen.
Shah also recognized the progress made in eradicating Naxalism under PM Modi's leadership. Naxalism, previously a threat in more than 11 states, is now confined to just three districts, he claimed, adding, "Mark my words: by May 31, 2026, this country will be free from Naxalism."
Multiple security operations and border area activities have been underway to eradicate Naxalism, with significant successes such as the elimination of several Naxal leaders recently. On May 21, security forces killed 27 Naxals in an encounter.
Government data reveals a 53% drop in the incidents of Naxal violence over the past decade, compared to the decade before. Despite the ongoing efforts of the security forces, we await the latest updates on the eradication of Naxalism. Stay tuned for further developments.
In light of the ongoing war-and-conflicts, particularly the escalating tensions with Pakistan, Shah's speech underscores the political significance of India's strong stance against terrorism, as exemplified by Operation Sindoor, which targets crime-and-justice organizations like Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Hizbul Mujahideen. Furthermore, Shah's comments on the decline of Naxalism, a domestic threat, are a key point of general-news interest, as India works towards eradicating this crime-and-justice issue.
