America's Political Hostility Not Symmetrically Divided

In recent years, there has been a growing concern over the safety of law-abiding citizens in the United States, with some attributing this rise in violence to certain Democrat policies and lax enforcement. These policies, critics argue, have contributed to unsafe conditions, allowing dangerous individuals to move freely and commit heinous crimes.

The past year has seen a series of nationally and locally significant violent crimes committed by illegal aliens, as well as attacks on symbols of American values such as police, ICE officers, and even Tesla dealerships. This wave of violence has reached a chilling crescendo with the assassination attempts against former President Donald Trump and the murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

The institutions that shape public opinion, including the media, academia, Hollywood, and various government agencies, are often criticised for their liberal leanings. A survey conducted by the Network Contagion Research Institute found a disproportionate number of people categorized as 'left of center' are willing to justify political murder, while another survey from The Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression shows a growing culture of left-wing radicalization among the populace.

Vice President JD Vance and former President Donald Trump have both spoken out about the issue, with Trump stating unequivocally that 'the radicals on the left are the problem.' Vance echoed this sentiment, stating that 'one side has a much bigger and malignant problem.'

Adam Johnston, a writer whose work has been featured in The Federalist, The Blaze, and the Daily Caller, and the creator of the Substack publication 'Conquest Theory,' believes that the only path to peace and the preservation of free and open debate is through acknowledging the reality of leftist dehumanization, radical rhetoric, and reckless policies.

However, it is important to note that blind adherence to 'criminal justice reform' and sanctuary city policies have resulted in the release of repeat offenders onto the streets. In cases such as the murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, the suspected perpetrator, Tyler R., has been linked to a left-wing ideology, acting alone and refusing to cooperate with authorities.

The violence tied to so-called 'social justice' movements is often framed as 'free speech' or justified as 'saving democracy.' Yet, the assassination of Charlie Kirk serves as a stark reminder that such rhetoric can have devastating real-world consequences.

In August, a Ukrainian refugee named Iryna Zarutska was violently stabbed to death on her commute by a man with 14 prior arrests. This incident, like many others, highlights the dangers of lax enforcement and the need for policies that prioritize the safety of all citizens.

As the nation grapples with these issues, it is crucial to foster a dialogue that acknowledges the complexities and nuances of the situation, while working towards solutions that promote safety, justice, and unity for all.
