In an unexpected turn of events, the popular American rock band, The All-American Rejects, put on a pop-up concert in the Pittsburgh area last Friday night. This unconventional event took place at a Sheetz gas station on Steubenville Pike in Robinston Township, causing a frenzy among fans who gathered to witness the impromptu performance.

The band, consisting of Tyson Ritter, Nick Wheeler, Mike Kennerty, and Chris Gaylor, formed in Stillwater, Oklahoma, and are known for their hits such as "Swing Swing," "Gives You Hell," "Move Along," and "Dirty Little Secret."

Sheetz teased the appearance of the band before the show, sparking excitement among fans. The gas station even announced on social media hours before the show that second shift would start at 7 p.m. in Pittsburgh. The All-American Rejects posted videos of the long lines of fans outside the Sheetz on their Instagram Stories, further fuelling the anticipation.

After the show, the band posted a praising message about the audience on their Instagram, expressing their gratitude for the support and energy from the crowd. Hundreds of people attended the concert, which began just after 9 p.m. and lasted approximately 60 minutes.

Michael Guise, a web producer for our Pittsburgh who has worked for KDKA-TV since 2019, was present at the event. This article is related to Allegheny County.

It's worth noting that The All-American Rejects are currently on a house party tour, but this format did not include any documented stops in Pittsburgh either in 2021 or in 2025. Their next major planned US tour is with the Jonas Brothers in October 2025, unrelated to the house party format.

For those seeking traditional tour dates from 2021 or a typical concert tour including Pittsburgh, The All-American Rejects did not appear to have such a tour that year based on the search results. However, fans can look forward to their appearance at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh on Nov 12, 2025, as a special guest of the Jonas Brothers.
