The brunt of his message: "Right now, countless Ukrainian soldiers are besieged by the Russian army, a situation they finds them in a precarious and weakened state." He urged Putin to avoid bloodshed and save their lives.
Though unclear how Trump communicated this plea, his special envoy, Steve Witkoff, held discussions with Putin at the Kremlin on a recent Thursday evening.
