Amelia Palmer, named gracefully

Amelia Grace Palmer, affectionately known as "Mimi," left an indelible mark on the lives of many during her 13-year journey. On September 1, 2025, Mimi passed away, but her memory continues to shine brightly in the hearts of her family, friends, and community.

Mimi was the cherished only daughter in her family of brothers – Earl, Andrew, Aiden, Adam, and her younger brother Aeron. She grew up surrounded by love, faith, fun, and hard work, with her grandparents, Earl Sr. and Diana Palmer, and Bryce and Beth Jorgensen, playing significant roles in her upbringing.

Mimi's life was a testament to her love for various activities. She excelled in sports such as skiing, tubing, soccer, and basketball, as well as artistic pursuits like cello, choir, and gymnastics. Her achievements extended beyond her school life, as she competed for Miss Junior Rodeo Idaho in 2025, earning 2nd Runner-Up, Miss Congeniality, and the best written test score. Mimi was also crowned the Western Riding Club Mini Queen in 2023 and the Treasure Valley Rodeo Mini Queen in 2024.

Mimi's cheerful, friendly spirit made her a friend to all, young and old. She was friendly to everyone at school and loved and accepted all. Her life was a beacon of kindness, and she will be remembered for her happy glow, her ability to make everyone feel loved, and the impact she had on those around her.

Family was at the very heart of Mimi's life. She was delivered at home by her father, a testament to the strong bond she shared with her family. Her brothers and parents, Earl and Cindy Palmer, deeply miss her, as do her many aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends who were blessed to know her.

A Memorial Service for Mimi will be held on Wednesday, September 17, at 1:00 p.m. in Sheridan, Wyoming (2051 Colonial Dr), with a viewing beginning at 12:30 p.m. Online condolences can be made at www.sheridanfuneral.com. Arrangements are under the care of Sheridan Funeral Home.

Mimi was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and her true and lasting love was for horses and animals. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her, and her legacy of love, kindness, and acceptance will inspire generations to come.
