Israel's Ambassador Slaps Back at Merz Critics: "That Dirty Work's Saving Our Asses!"
Israel's diplomatic representative defends Merz in the face of backlash. - Ambassador justifies Merz amidst backlash
Israel's Ambassador Ron Prosor ain't backing down from the heat That ol' Friedrich Merz cooked up, no sir! Merz recently flexed his political muscles at the G7 summit in Canada, extolling Israel's military actions against Iran's nuclear facilities as some kinda "dirty work" we all should be thankful for. And while the SPD and other opposition folk were quick to slam the dude for his choice of words, Prosor ain't holdin' back no punches either.
Merz's comment went a litt' sumthin' like this, "Lemme tell ya, love, that's the dirty work Israel's doin' for us all. We're all in danger from that mullah regime's bullshit!"
When the ZDF moderator, Diana Zimmermann, threw that velvety-smooth "dirty work" curveball, Merz reckoned it was a damn good description, and he ran with it. But Merz's rivals couldn't resist jumpin' on that bone, barkin' about how he's soft on violence and disregardin' civilian casualties.
Well, Prosor ain't buyin' that bullsh*t. He told the German Press Agency, "Israel's nuclear program's aimin' at us, but it's a threat to the whole wide world too. Those rockets aimin' at Tel Aviv and Jerusalem? They ain't just aimin' at us, friend. They're aimin' at Berlin, Paris, and London too."
And au naturel, Prosor ain't wrong. Sure, arm deliveries for the ongoing war in Ukraine got all bunged up, and them Houthi motherf*ckers ain't been hesitant to ponied up some attacks on maritime trade between Europe and Asia. The global eyes are on us Europeans, and we gotta decide whether we got the balls to stick up for our values and interests like the strong, independent badasses we aim to be.
Oh, and just so ya know, Friedrich Merz ain't no slouch himself. He sure as sh*t ain't afraid to feature his political commentary in mainstream media, and he ain't shy about makin' it clear as day that Israel's actions are damn well necessary. And with that, Prosor reiterated his stance, "Europe's better be ready to accept the fact that Israel's doin' the dirty work for all of us and keepin' the world a safer place, one rocket strike at a time."
Now that's a message with a professed cause, ain't it?
