Amazon's Fallout Season 2 hits 83M viewers, secures third season renewal

Amazon Prime Video's Fallout series continues to draw massive audiences. The show's second season, released in December 2025, has already amassed 83 million viewers. Meanwhile, a third season is now in development after two highly successful runs.

The first season of Fallout premiered to strong numbers, hitting 65 million viewers in its opening two weeks. By October 2024, that figure had climbed to 100 million. Season 2 followed a different approach, with episodes released weekly instead of all at once.

In its first week alone, the second season racked up 1.69 billion minutes of watch time. Peter Friedlander, Head of TV at Amazon MGM Studios, confirmed it ranks among the top four most successful seasons ever launched on the platform. Despite its popularity, *Fallout* Season 2 did not surpass *Reacher*—Amazon's most-watched renewed series—though exact figures for *Reacher* remain undisclosed. Combined, both seasons of *Fallout* have now reached 100 million viewers since the second season's debut on December 16, 2025.

With two seasons already performing strongly, Fallout has secured a third instalment. The franchise's growing audience and high engagement confirm its place as a major title for Amazon Prime Video. The shift to a weekly release for Season 2 did not hinder its success, proving the series' enduring appeal.
