Amazon Prime Video's fantasy lineup grows with Shrek, Wicked, and cult classics
Amazon Prime Video has expanded its fantasy film collection with new and classic titles. Fans can now stream The Last Unicorn (1982) and Hook (1991)
As of March, all four Shrek movies are available to stream on Amazon Prime Video. The franchise's return comes before the planned fifth film, set for release in 2027. Viewers can also watch Wicked (2024), the first part of Universal's musical adaptation, now on the platform.
The selection includes older favourites like The Last Unicorn, an animated fantasy from 1982, and Steven Spielberg's Hook, a live-action Peter Pan retelling. More titles will arrive in 2026, such as Der Meister und Margarita (March 10), Drachenzähmen leicht gemacht: Buch der Drachen and Die guten alten Zeiten (March 15), and Die Reise zum Mittelpunkt der Erde alongside Schwerter des Königs – Dungeon Siege in early March. The animated series Invincible will also return with Season 4 on March 18, 2026.
Amazon Prime Video regularly refreshes its fantasy lineup, ensuring a mix of new releases and long-standing classics for subscribers.
The streaming service now provides a broad range of fantasy content, from animated classics to upcoming blockbusters. Subscribers can access these films and series as part of their Amazon Prime membership, with further additions expected in the coming years.
