Amazon Now Expands to UAE, Promising 15-Minute Deliveries
Amazon has expanded its ultra-fast delivery service, Amazon Now, to the United Arab Emirates. The service, led by Ronaldo Mouchawar, vice president of Amazon Middle East, Africa, and Turkey, promises deliveries in as little as 15 minutes. It operates 24/7 and covers major locations in the UAE, with plans to expand further.
Amazon Now offers a 2-hour delivery option for thousands of products across over 30 categories. This includes everyday essentials like fresh produce, groceries, electronics, and beauty products. The service operates through a network of micro fulfillment centers positioned within residential areas, reducing delivery distances and easing traffic congestion.
The response to Amazon Now has been overwhelmingly positive. Daily orders have grown by an average of over 40% month over month, and Prime members have doubled their shopping frequency. Prime members enjoy free shipping on orders above AED 25, while orders below this threshold incur a delivery fee of AED 6.
Amazon Now's expansion to the UAE brings ultra-fast delivery to customers' doorsteps. With a wide range of products and a commitment to speed and convenience, the service is set to transform shopping in the region. Its success so far indicates a strong appetite for such services among UAE residents.
