Amazon MGM & Miramax Team Up for 'The Beekeeper 2' With Star-Studded Cast
Amazon MGM and Miramax have joined forces to bring 'The Beekeeper 2' to screens, with an impressive cast including Jason Statham, Jeremy Irons, and Yara Shahidi. The sequel promises to build on the success of the first film, which grossed $163M globally and received a 92% Verified Hot rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
The upcoming film is directed by Timo Tjahjanto, with Kurt Wimmer penning the script. Amazon MGM, in collaboration with Jason Statham and Black Bear, is producing the movie. Black Bear will manage sales in Asia and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) regions. Meanwhile, Amazon MGM will handle the release in North America and other international markets, excluding Europe outside of North America and the USA, where distribution rights are yet to be specified.
