"Amazing" Film Makes Its Comeback
In the world of entertainment, "Incredibles 2" continues to make headlines. The much-anticipated sequel, released in 2018, has been a resounding success, grossing an impressive $182 million in its opening weekend in the U.S., breaking the record for an animated film. Elastigirl was chosen for a mission to restore the reputation of superheroes in this Pixar masterpiece.
The film, suitable for ages 6 and up, tells a family story more than a superhero story, making it relatable to many viewers. Director and screenwriter Brad Bird expertly portrays the heroes' struggles, including Mr. Incredible taking on the role of childcare, specifically looking after his daughter Violet and baby Jack-Jack.
Baby Jack-Jack, surprisingly, reveals unexpected powers such as bursting into flames, becoming invisible, shooting lightning bolts, and turning into heavy metal. The film, lasting 118 minutes, has been praised for its humour and excels in almost every aspect compared to the first film.
In other news, the Blue Devils Weiden scored a successful season opener in the DEL2 thanks to their brilliant attacking duo of Tyler Ward and Tomas Rubes.
Moving on to local updates, a convicted terrorist has been living in Tirschenreuth since 2022 and has recently appeared in court again. In Weiden in der Oberpfalz, a doctor is currently defending himself in a medical liability case involving "fully controllable risks" and the burden of proof lies with the patients.
Certain scenes in "Incredibles 2" may potentially trigger epileptic seizures or similar events in people with photosensitivity. On a brighter note, the Eurojackpot worth 120 million euros did not get cracked, but a few million from the second prize category went to Bavaria.
Lastly, the Scream Graveler, a supervillain from the first "Incredibles", delivers a monologue and declares war on happiness and peace in "Incredibles 2". The film, part of Pixar's collection of movies that includes "Toy Story", "A Bug's Life", "Monsters, Inc.", "Finding Nemo", and more, has already surpassed one billion dollars in worldwide earnings.
