Notably, this was not the first time the harasser had acted inappropriately. In January 2025, the individual had a prior history of harassing another person in a mosque, underscoring a pattern of unacceptable behaviour.
When news of the July 2025 incident broke, it was quickly reported and, on July 24, the harasser was arrested for five days. This arrest was followed by a trial on July 29, 2025, and the harasser was subsequently imprisoned due to their actions.

She emphasised the importance of respect and safety for individuals, particularly women, in public and religious spaces.
