Bayern's Bundesliga Victory to be Marked with a Beer Soaked Party!

Ready-to-pour beer instead of customary champagne: Anticipated Bayern celebration upcoming - Alteration of Champagne Rain to Beer Shower.

Title debutant Harry Kane couldn't contain his excitement about his first championship party, held in an upscale restaurant, even a day after the chaotic night. And now, striker star Kane and legendary Thomas Müller are in for a mutual celebration in their home stadium, filled with heartfelt moments. In the final home game of Müller's storied career next weekend, Bayern will officially reclaim their trophy, with or without a draw from Leverkusen.

The atmosphere of rejoicing with the most prestigious trophy in German football will no doubt be the highlight of Müller's emotional farewell day at FC Bayern.

Beer shower instead of bubbles galore

Kane already experienced his inaugural celebration on Sunday night. The England national team skipper expressed his enthusiasm the following day in an Instagram video, declaring, "What a night! What a party with the players and staff!" Consequently, he predicted feeling a bit rundown the next day.

The glamorous ensemble celebrated their sofa title - perfect after Leverkusen's 2:2 draw in Freiburg - deep into the night with party anthems, champagne, and championship cigars. Kane sang along arm-in-arm with DFB captain Joshua Kimmich and friend Eric Dier, crooning hits like "Sweet Caroline" and "Take Me Home, Country Roads". Teammate Kimmich posed for online snaps in soggy pants and holding a jumbo champagne bottle, courtesy of Kane.

Celebration with the trophy

Smiling, the title rookie stated on Monday, "I can't wait to enjoy the next few weeks and celebrate with the fans in the stadium on Saturday." He'll have plenty of tips to gather from 13-time champion Müller beforehand. Then, even for the designated Bundesliga top scorer, there will be legendary beer showers instead of the usual champagne sprinkles.

And the championship trophy. The German Football League announced on Monday morning that the 11-kilogram trophy will be presented after the game against Borussia Mönchengladbach on Saturday. "We are champions again - and the trophy is back home next Saturday," said CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen.

"We now have time to enjoy that we have won the Bundesliga," said coach Vincent Kompany, savoring "an incredible feeling" after the FC Bayern's 34th German championship in total. President Herbert Hainer summed it up, "I am firmly convinced that if you win the German championship, you've had a good season."

Emotional Müller farewell

The match on Saturday will also be a sentimental affair for Thomas Müller. The club legend will take the field for the last time in a home game for FC Bayern after 25 years. On Saturday, they will celebrate the presentation of the championship trophy and Müller, a "Bavarian original," appropriately. "An emotional farewell."

Müller's highly anticipated departure will then lead to the lucrative XXL Club World Cup from June 14 to July 13 in the USA, where Bayern will compete among the title contenders. "There is still a title to be distributed in this year, in this season," said Dreesen.

By then, it will likely be clear whether Müller intends to call it a day after the Bayern era - or if he'll dare another foreign escapade, possibly in the US league.

"Now we're looking forward to celebrating together with the fans next Saturday at the stadium and later on the town hall balcony," said Max Eberl, the sporting director who, like Kane, is a league championship debutant. Amidst a sea of red and white flags and thousands of Bayern fans, the German champions of FC Bayern will showcase themselves with their trophies on the town hall balcony at Marienplatz on May 18th.

Memorial tribute to a football icon

Meanwhile, Monday at FC Bayern was a day of reflection as the bosses of the team paid tribute to the football "Kaiser" at the inauguration of the Franz-Beckenbauer-Platz, just five minutes before the Allianz Arena. Franz Beckenbauer, who passed away in 2024, will be honored once more with the Franz-Beckenbauer-Platz.

  • As part of his emotional farewell, Thomas Müller's final home game with Bayern Munich will feature the presentation of the championship trophy, a fitting tribute to the "Bavarian original."
  • On matchday, Max Eberl, another league championship debutant, along with thousands of Bayern fans, will congregate at Marienplatz to celebrate the team's triumph on the town hall balcony, surrounded by red and white flags.
  • In addition to the championship celebration, the German Football League announced that the trophy will be presented after the game against Borussia Mönchengladbach on Saturday.
  • For the designated Bundesliga top scorer, the usual champagne sprinkles may be replaced with legendary beer showers during the festivities.
