Altai’s Chuya Highway to Close Tonight for Winter Road Prep

A section of the federal R-256 Chuya Highway in Altai Krai will be temporarily closed tonight. The closure will affect a stretch between the settlement of Novokrayushkino and Ozerki.

The closure is scheduled to take place from 10:00 PM to 10:40 PM. However, the duration may be subject to change depending on the situation. This closure is part of the preparations for snow-covered roads in Biysk, which typically begin in November when the first snowfalls are expected.

Motorists are advised to plan their routes accordingly and expect delays. Further updates will be provided if there are any changes to the closure duration.
