Altai Territory Deploys Rapid-Response Trains to Combat Flood Risks

The Altai Territory has prepared three rapid-response trains to address the aftermath of flooding, according to a statement from the West Siberian Railway press service.

The trains are equipped with cars carrying track ballast, sand, rubble stone, and all necessary equipment to mitigate flooding. Their effectiveness was tested during special drills.

Railway workers inspected embankments and structures to identify potential flood-prone areas. All necessary measures have been taken to ensure the safe passage of floodwaters.

A hydrological data collection system has also been set up at water gauge stations to monitor the flood situation.
