Alpine Racing Limited Accelerates Development and Secures €200 Million Investment from Elite Backers Worldwide

A significant investment in Alpine Racing has been announced, with Otro Capital, RedBird Capital Partners, and Maximum Effort Investments collectively injecting €200 million into the Formula 1 team. This investment values Alpine Racing Ltd at approximately $900 million.

The investor group brings a wealth of experience in the sports industry, with a strong track record in media, sponsorship, ticketing, hospitality, commercial rights management, licensing, and merchandising strategies. Notable partnerships include the Dallas Cowboys, Fenway Sports Group, the NFL, Toulouse FC, and Wrexham AFC.

James Toney, Co-Founder of Maximum Effort Investments, expressed his enthusiasm for the investment, believing there is untapped potential in Alpine Racing. Alec Scheiner, Co-Founder and Partner of Otro Capital, will join Alpine Racing Ltd's Board of Directors, continuing his role in guiding the team's strategic direction.

The investment will focus on boosting Alpine's media and marketing strategy, with the aim of adding value to Alpine's business operations and brand building, specifically in North America. This move is expected to accelerate Alpine's growth plans and sporting ambitions in Formula 1.

Luca de Meo, CEO of Renault Group, stated that the partnership will accelerate Alpine F1 development by diversifying revenue drivers and increasing brand value. The Renault Group will detail Alpine's strategy during its Alpine Future Tour on June 26th, 2023, hosted in Enstone, UK. A replay of the Alpine Future Tour can be accessed via a provided link.

It is worth noting that Alpine Racing SAS, the entity manufacturing F1 engines in Viry-Châtillon, France, remains entirely owned by Renault Group and is not part of the transaction.

The investment group also includes additional investors, including the Huntsman Family and Main Street Advisors. The €200 million investment in Alpine Racing Ltd involves co-investors including Rory McIlroy, Patrick Mahomes, and Travis Kelce, who joined the Alpine F1 team investment group in 2023.

This investment marks an exciting new chapter for Alpine Racing as they continue their journey in Formula 1. With the combined expertise and resources of the investor group, Alpine is poised to make significant strides in the world of motorsport.
