Almaty residents are grappling with a series of road mishaps, with the latest incident occurring on Aamanjol Street. Thirteen vehicles were severely damaged after plummeting into a hole caused by heavy rain. Meanwhile, a mysterious hole has appeared near an automatic irrigation system on Al-Farabi Prospect, leaving locals concerned about potential roadway damage.

The sequence of events began on September 16 when a hole formed on Aamanjol Street, swallowing thirteen cars. The responsible party for this section of road is typically the local municipal road authority or the city's public works department. Despite the incident, another hole has appeared on Al-Farabi Prospect, near an automatic irrigation system, remaining unexplained even after an investigation.

Almaty Mayor Darhan Satybaldy has taken stern action, issuing a strict reprimand to the Akim of Auezov District for inadequate oversight of contractors. Residents now fear that the damage may expand, potentially affecting the al-Farabi Prospect roadway itself.
