Almaty Ready for Historic Real Madrid Visit: Stadium Upgrades, Security Boost
Almaty is gearing up to host a historic visit from Real Madrid CF. The city's leadership has spent a week meticulously preparing, including video analysis and tactical studies at Kairat Almaty's modern training center. The Central Stadium has been updated and checked, ready to meet international standards.
The stadium's pitch and lighting system have been inspected and improved. Its interior now boasts new artistic murals celebrating Almaty's identity. For fan convenience, 60 buses will operate post-match along Abai, Satpayev, and Baiturly streets. Over 1,500 seats have been replaced, and sanitary facilities updated, including 60 eco-toilets. Security is tight, with 2,382 police employees on duty, and metal detectors and handheld scanners installed at checkpoints. Ambulances and fire trucks stand ready. Facilities for referees and players have been prepared for comfort.
