Snow-clearing operations began at 3 AM, with road police patrols and mass snow removal planned for after the morning rush hour. Citizens and volunteers from youth resource centers and 'jasotanov' joined municipal workers to clear snow near elderly residents' homes and provide hot drinks to workers. Anti-icing materials, totalling 4,867 tons, are being used to prevent ice buildup on roads and overpasses. Sidewalks, pedestrian areas, bus stops, parking lots, and public spaces are being cleared. Snowfall is expected to continue throughout the day, according to 'Kazhydromet'. Round-the-clock snow removal monitoring is in place at local akimats.
