Allianz pro Schiene elects new leadership at historic Swiss gathering
Allianz pro Schiene has chosen new spokespeople for its supporters’ circle after a meeting in Switzerland. The event marked the first time the annual gathering took place outside Germany. Among the changes, Malte Lawrenz was elected as a deputy spokesperson and will also join the executive board. The 2023 supporters’ meeting was hosted by the Public Transport Association and the Rhaetian Railway. During the session, Gerhard Greiter, CEO of Siemens Mobility, was confirmed as the main spokesperson for the group.
Malte Lawrenz, currently Chairman of the Association of Freight Wagon Keepers in Germany (VPI), was selected as a new deputy spokesperson. He will also take a seat on the 12-member executive board, chaired by Martin Burkert. This appointment follows his recent move to succeed Michail Stahlhut, the former CEO of HUPAC, who stepped down from his position.
Berit Börke, Managing Director of Partner for Pioneers GmbH, will continue serving on the executive board. Her role remains unchanged following the latest elections. The meeting introduced key leadership changes, with Lawrenz and Greiter taking on prominent roles. The event’s location in Switzerland also set a new precedent for future gatherings. The updated board and spokespeople will now guide the organisation’s next steps.
