D.C. Man Charged with Attempted Rape and Abduction in Alexandria

A 26-year-old D.C. resident, Dykwon Perry Davis, has been charged with two felony offenses following a sexual assault incident in Alexandria, Virginia, in February 2024. Davis is currently awaiting extradition to Alexandria and is facing charges of Attempted Rape and Abduction with the Intent to Defile.

According to officials, the alleged assault took place on Main Line Boulevard in Alexandria. On February 3, Davis is said to have approached a woman in an alleyway on the 2200 block of Main Line Boulevard and attempted to sexually assault her. The woman managed to escape and call the police.

Security camera video reviewed by D.C. Police and Metro Transit police showed Davis getting off a train at the Potomac Yard station at around 10:05 p.m. Hours earlier, at approximately 9:48 p.m., the woman had called 9-1-1 after getting out of the train at the Gallery Place - Chinatown Metro station in D.C., following an incident where Davis allegedly indecently exposed himself and tried to prevent her from moving.

Davis was arrested by D.C. police on February 6, but not in connection with the Alexandria incident. He was apprehended in the area of Marion Barry Avenue, Southeast, after being caught urinating in public at around 3 p.m. Upon his arrest, police found a white powdery substance later identified as Oxycodone.

The Alexandria Police Department and the Metro Transit Police Department collaborated on the investigation, which led to Davis's connection to the Main Line Boulevard incident. At around 12:45 a.m. on February 4, D.C. police were made aware of the investigation.

Davis could face up to life in prison for the abduction charge and up to 10 years in prison for the attempted rape charge. A trial date in Alexandria for Davis is pending, with sentencing scheduled for November 20, 2025.

It is worth noting that no public records or reports were found indicating other arrests or charges for Dykwon Perry Davis in Washington, D.C., separate from this Alexandria case.
