Alfons Schuhbeck's Spice Empire Expands: An Uplifting Update from Behind Bars

Behind Bars, Schuhbeck's Empire Thrives

It's a brighter day for Alfons Schuhbeck (74), the renowned celebrity chef, who is now serving time in Landsberg/Lech prison. Despite being incarcerated, he can hardly contain his excitement as his "baby" - the Schuhbeck spice empire - is seeing unprecedented growth!

A brand-new Schuhbeck spice store recently debuted in Pullach, a town near Munich. Customers can now savor Schuhbeck's popular spice blends in the revamped 35-square-meter space that once housed the Hofpfisterei branch, situated on Kirchplatz.

Setting Sights on New Horizons: Hamburg, Berlin, Frankfurt, and Kitzbühel

The Schuhbeck spice empire is stretching its wings even further, with plans to open flagship stores in Hamburg, Berlin, Frankfurt, and the picturesque resort town of Kitzbühel in Tyrol. The iconic store on Platzl, where Schuhbeck first established his gastronomy empire, will remain a staple. Other branches in Altötting and Regensburg are set to continue operating.

At Platzl, where he held court as a gastronomy king and spice guru, Schuhbeck's reputation as a TV chef and influential figure in the culinary world skyrocketed. Unfortunately, financial challenges and massive debts, including those owed to the tax office, forced him to file for insolvency.

Schuhbeck's Spice Legacy Lives On

Despite the setbacks in other areas of his business, Schuhbeck's passion for the healing power of spices and their potential in health products remains unwavering. His diverse spice blends are still driving his culinary ventures, with innovative products like Curcusan turmeric capsules, ginger immune capsules, and cell fitness capsules.

Schuhbeck's Warehouse: A Work in Progress

Interestingly, the new warehouse for Schuhbeck's tin-packed spice blends has called Aschheim home for the past two months. Inside the warehouse, there's a mixing room and a tasting kitchen, both reserved for Schuhbeck's expert palate upon his release.

Awaiting Reintegration

While Alfons Schuhbeck's current incarceration for tax evasion may have put his spice business at an unexpected standstill, his close friends and associates in the culinary world extend their support. Celebrity chef Wolfgang von Mutius's wife, Franziska von Mutius, voiced her empathy in a recent interview on Bavaria's Munich regional people TV channel, acknowledging the impact Schuhbeck's contributions have had on Munich's culinary scene.

As Schuhbeck waits for his release and the opportunity to rejoin the thriving culinary world, his loyal supporters and newfound customers eagerly anticipate his return to the limelight, particularly in Kitzbühel, where he was once an esteemed guest at a culinary event.
