Alex Miller, a Lancaster, Kentucky native and country music singer-songwriter, has been appointed as the new brand ambassador for the Kentucky Department of Agriculture's Kentucky Proud program. This role will see Miller promoting local farm products through his music career, public appearances, and social media engagement, connecting consumers with Kentucky producers in friendly, approachable ways.

Miller's deep agricultural roots and background significantly contribute to this partnership. Coming from a line of Kentucky farmers and being an American FFA degree recipient, he has firsthand experience and appreciation for the hard but rewarding work in agriculture. This authentic connection makes him a perfect spokesperson who genuinely represents the values and authenticity that Kentucky Proud stands for. Agriculture Commissioner Jonathan Shell emphasised that Miller "is just as Kentucky as it gets" and his background aligns perfectly with the program's identity.

Miller's singing and guitar skills have brought him to the country music meccas of the Ryman Auditorium and the Grand Ole Opry. He recently released his current single for Billy Jam Records, "The Byrd," featuring country hitmaker Tracy Byrd. Miller views this opportunity to serve as an ambassador as a chance to highlight the accomplishments and amazing products spotlighted by this program.

Miller's agricultural heritage enhances his credibility and passion as Kentucky Proud's ambassador, allowing him to authentically advocate for local agriculture while leveraging his music platform to broaden the program’s reach and impact throughout Kentucky and beyond. Miller credits his grandfather, a farmer, with the drive and dedication to pursue his passion for singing and performing.

With upcoming tour dates in North Carolina, Indiana, Iowa, Massachusetts, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and throughout Kentucky, Miller is eager to get started with his new role as a Kentucky Proud ambassador. His performances took him to the National FFA Convention where he performed for thousands, and the national exposure earned Miller the opportunity to open for acts such as Hank Williams, Jr., Lee Brice, Josh Turner, Shenandoah, Brooks and Dunn, and more.

Miller's journey began at local jamborees and nursing homes before getting his first big shot on the stage through the Garrard County High School FFA talent show. His agricultural background includes participation in the FFA. This new role as brand ambassador for Kentucky Proud is a testament to Miller's humble beginnings and his commitment to promoting Kentucky's agricultural industry.
