Jamel Rocks the Förster Festival 2021: Alcohol and Glass Bottle Regulations Announced

This year's Jamel Rocks the Förster festival, scheduled for August 22 and 23 in Gägelow, Germany, has revealed specific regulations regarding alcohol consumption and glass bottles, following a court ruling.

The Higher Administrative Court upheld restrictions on the amount and types of alcohol that attendees can bring or consume on site, aiming to prevent excessive drinking and maintain public order during the event. A ban on glass bottles has also been reinforced due to safety concerns and the risk of injuries.

These regulations are part of an ongoing legal battle surrounding the festival. The Higher Administrative Court has partially granted the appeal of the Nordwestmecklenburg district, while dismissing other parts. The municipality of Gägelow, which wanted to charge a fee for the use of municipal land for the first time, has been involved in the proceedings, leading to the organizers registering the festival as a longer-lasting assembly to avoid paying the fee.

The Jamel Rocks the Förster music and democracy festival, founded in 2007 by Horst and Birgit Lohmeyer, has been a form of resistance for the Lohmeyers, who moved to a village dominated by right-wing extremists. Last year, acts included the Fantastic Four and Olli Schulz.

Despite the legal challenges, the demand for tickets exceeds the capacity, as has been the case in previous years. Admission will be charged for the concert, reflecting the festival's growing popularity.

The court in Greifswald has made a statement about the decision, emphasizing the importance of public safety and reducing potential alcohol-related disturbances. Glass bottles are not permitted to be brought into the festival area, and attendees are advised to adhere to the alcohol consumption restrictions for a safe and enjoyable experience.

Social-media users are encouraged to share the alcohol and glass bottle regulations for the Jamel Rocks the Förster Festival 2021, taking place in Gägelow, Germany, to ensure attendees are well-informed about the event's rules. With the festival's growing popularity, entertainment continues to be a significant draw, despite ongoing legal challenges and safety concerns related to alcohol consumption and glass bottles.
