Sober? Not a Chance! Stefan Mross Stands Firm on His Love for the Booze
Alcohol is a beverage that Stefan Mross is unwilling to abandon.
Rumors about Stefan Mross's alcohol issues have been swirling for about two years now. His ex, Anna-Carina Woitschack, hasn't helped quell the storm either, boldly stating that their circle of friends has constantly urged him to seek professional help.
It's common knowledge that Stefan Mross hosts the ARD show "Immer wieder sonntags" ("Always on Sundays"). Yet, whispers about his drunken antics, supposedly not confined to Sundays, have been circulating ever since those rumors surfaced.
The drama took a dramatic turn last September when Mross canceled his Munich Oktoberfest performance at the last minute. Apparently, he had allegedly passed out during a wedding celebration the night before.
Mross, however, vehemently denies these claims. "They're trying to pin an alcohol problem on me that I don't have," he asserted back in 2023. He fiercely dismissed allegations of drunkenness and labeled derogatory statements about his Oktoberfest incident as "a brazen lie and a complete falsehood!"
In a recent interview with "SuperIllu", Mross reiterated his stance, claiming, "I won't become abstinent." He added, "Just because the press says I'm looking into my glass too deeply, it doesn't make it so."
Mross is now in a two-year relationship with Eva Luginger, and the calmer atmosphere has curbed his wild party days. "The parties I used to have, I don't have anymore. We'd rather go out for a nice dinner and I'll have a glass of wine," he confessed.
Ultimately, Stefan Mross doesn't see a reason to apologize. "In the end, I've never really done anything wrong - even if I've had my share of breakups or wild nights out," he asserted.
This year, Mross can look forward to celebrating two milestones with a clear conscience. On one hand, 2025 marks the 20th anniversary of his start at "Immer wieder sonntags". On the other hand, Mross will turn 50 on November 26.
