Saying goodbye to a 14-year-long stint, 21-year-old basketball phenom, Elias Rapieque, is granting an exit from Alba Berlin to play ball at a stateside college, Kansas State University.
The nimble forward, known for his fluid moves, will exercise an escape clause in his Berliners deal, according to the Bundesliga team. Rapieque's incredible journey with the capital club began back in the U9 level, and he made his BBL debut for the Berliners in 2022 4.
Reflecting on his emotional departure, Rapieque shared, "It's bittersweet — 14 years with my beloved home team, the first and only squad I've ruled the court for, but it's beautiful that the journey's come to pass."
On his social media platform, he formally declared, "Onwards to the Wildcats, baby!" Joining Kansas State Wildcats' roster for season 2025-26 [1], Rapieque is ready to make the U.S. his new stomping ground 2[5].
