Airstrike in Qatar: Senior Hamas Official Publicly Appears on Camera Post Strike

In a shocking turn of events, Ghazi Hamad, a senior Hamas official and the spokesperson for the Palestinian militant group, narrowly escaped an assassination attempt in Qatar last week. The attack occurred during a discussion about a possible end to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.

Hamad and his associates were engaged in a meeting to discuss the American proposal to end the war when the attack occurred. According to Hamad, they immediately fled the area upon hearing explosions.

Hamad, who joined Hamas upon its founding in 1987, has been a key figure in the group's negotiations. He was the person leading the negotiations for the ceasefire between the USA and Hamas, whose delegation was attacked in Qatar.

Hamad has a long history with Hamas. He served five years in an Israeli prison for membership in the organisation. After his release, he became a mediator in the Gilad Shalit deal and was close to Ahmad Jabari, the founder of the military wing of Hamas.

In the past, Hamad has served as the chairman of the Gaza Energy Authority, Hamas spokesperson, and deputy foreign minister. He has been a vocal advocate for the removal of Israel from Palestinian land, stating, "Israel is a state that has no place on our land. It is a state we want to bring down."

Despite threats from US President Donald Trump to unleash hell upon them, Hamad remains unphased. He walked out of a BBC interview during the current conflict and has expressed his concerns about the Israeli 'siege' during the ongoing conflict.

Hamad appeared for the first time since the assassination attempt on Wednesday. He did not take questions from the press, but reiterated his stance on the conflict and the need for a just resolution for the Palestinian people.
