2025 Joint Base Andrews Air Show: A Celebration of Airpower
Mark your calendars for the highly anticipated 2025 Joint Base Andrews Air Show, set to take place on September 13-14. This thrilling event, open to the public, promises an unforgettable experience for all.
The action will unfold at Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland, with a star-studded lineup of performers. Among the confirmed acts are the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, the U.S. Army Golden Knights parachute team, the U.S. Naval Academy Parachute Team, the F-35A Lightning II Demonstration Team, and the C-17 Demo Team.
The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, known for their precision and skill, will take to the skies in a formation of six aircraft, with a seventh capturing breathtaking photos. For an added treat, the Thunderbirds are scheduled to fly over the National Mall on Friday, September 12, at approximately 8:15 a.m.
The air show will also showcase current U.S. military aviation capabilities, offering a unique glimpse into the evolution of airpower. In addition to the aerial demonstrations, visitors can expect STEAM exhibits, military band performances, and honor guard presentations.
Parking at Joint Base Andrews is restricted to DoD cardholders. However, public parking is available at Northwest Stadium. Buses will run from Northwest Stadium to Joint Base Andrews from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day, with the last return bus departing at 5 p.m.
Please note that residents near Joint Base Andrews, Maryland, may experience increased traffic and road closures during the air show. The Suitland Parkway will be temporarily closed during some air show performances. Closure times are as follows: Thursday, Sept. 11, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.; Friday, Sept. 12, from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.; Saturday, Sept. 13, from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Sunday, Sept. 14, from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
