Airline ranking agency, Skytrax, declares the best low-cost carrier in Africa.
Headline: FlySafair Tops as Best Low-Cost Airline in Africa at 2025 Skytrax Awards
In the spirited competition of the Best Low-Cost Airline in Africa category, a South African budget carrier outshone its competitors to clinch the top honors at this year's Skytrax World Airline Awards.
The underdog, FlySafair, snatched the crown from LIFT Airline, the previous year's champion, and Fastjet, in a tight race.
Skytrax Declares World's Best Airline
Popularly known as the Oscars of the aviation world, the Skytrax World Airline Awards have been discovering customer satisfaction champions since 1999. These awards, led by Skytrax, are purely based on a customer satisfaction survey.
Once again, Qatar Airways took the title of the World's Best Airline, marking a record-breaking ninth victory. The airline also bagged the coveted awards for being the World's Best Business Class airline and the Best Airline in the Middle East.

Air France took home various accolades, including being named the Best Airline in Western Europe and being honored for World's Best First Class Comfort Amenities.
