In a series of unexpected events, the passenger involved in the IndiGo slapping incident, Hasnul (also known as Hasan Ahmed Mazumder), has been found after going missing. He was located at a railway station in Barpeta, Assam, and later reached his home in Katigorah near Silchar.

The incident, which occurred during a flight from Mumbai to Silchar via Kolkata on August 1, made headlines when Hasnul was assaulted by another passenger after the flight landed. The slapping incident was widely shared on social media, causing a stir and prompting IndiGo Airlines to take immediate action.

IndiGo Airlines has suspended the man who slapped Hasnul from flying on any IndiGo flights and reported the incident to the relevant authorities for necessary action. The airline emphasized that the safety and well-being of customers and crew is their priority and condemned the unruly behavior.

However, the aftermath of the incident saw a new development when Hasnul went missing. His family in Assam claimed he never reached his destination in Silchar and his phone has remained switched off since the flight landed. They managed to locate him through social media and news reports. Hasnul is currently recovering at home.

The family criticized Indigo for negligence, claiming the airline neither arranged a connecting flight for him nor informed them of his whereabouts. IndiGo Airlines reiterated its commitment to providing a safe and respectful environment for passengers and will continue to assist the authorities in the investigation of the slapping incident.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a Nepali-origin woman was assaulted by a mob in Bareilly over suspicion of theft. A video of the incident has been shared widely.

In another unrelated incident, a speeding truck rammed multiple vehicles in Badlapur, Thane district, resulting in a 55-year-old woman's death and injuring 4 others. The driver of the speeding truck is absconding.

IndiGo Airlines has a commitment to discourage unruly behavior onboard flights and will continue to take necessary steps to ensure the safety and well-being of its passengers and crew. The slapping incident serves as a reminder of the need for respect and decorum in public places, including airplanes.
