The Department of Urban Planning and Building Regulations has announced a public participation process for the project-specific development plan "Katernberger Straße 76-78 (Lidl Branch)" from September 8th to September 19th.

The planning area for the project includes approximately 0.75 hectares, encompassing the future plot areas of the project initiators and an additional strip for widening the adjacent sidewalk on Katernberger Straße to 2.5 meters.

Lidl aims to expand the food discount market at Katernberger Straße 76 - 78 to make the location future-proof and meet modern food market requirements. The expansion will take place in the form of an addition to the existing market building, with a redesign and expansion of the parking lot facilities and extensive greening measures. The roof of the addition will be equipped with a photovoltaic system.

All interested citizens are invited to participate in the planning process. Employees of the Department of Urban Planning and Building Regulations will provide explanations of the plans on September 11th (3 pm - 6 pm) and September 16th (9 am - 12 pm) at the Department of Urban Planning and Building Regulations, Lindenallee 10, Germany House, 5th Floor, Room 508.

The plan boards are also on display at the Citizen Center Kon-Takt during specific hours. A public discussion will occur on September 18th at 7 pm at the Community Center Mitte, Evangelical Church, Katernberger Markt 4.

Comprehensive information about the planning can be found at www.our website/Stadtplanung from the beginning of the exhibition, where citizens can also submit statements.
