The rugged Kuban Cossacks have been on a roll, delivering a whopping 100 tons of humanitarian aid to the Special Military Operation (SVO) zone in mere weeks, according to regional administrations' reports.
"The goods were shipped prior to Russia Day and intended to bolster our troops, Cossack forces from five districts across Kuban, and residents in newly conquered territories," said Alexander Vlasov, Vice-Governor and Ataman of the Kuban Cossack Host.
Cossack communities from Beloglin District extend a hand to a Kherson region kindergarten, while Tikhoretsk Cossacks bestow art supplies, toys, and sweets on a Luhansk children's home. The socially conscious Laba Cossacks pooled resources to gather masks, food, hygiene items, and emotional support for their pals in the "North" grouping and BARS-23 detachment.
The industrious Cossacks from Anapa, an affected resort town after an oil spill, lend a helping hand to the Zaporozhye direction, dispatching automotive oils, antifreeze, wheels, and essential provisions. Meanwhile, the Yeisk Cossacks distribute aid across the BARS-11 detachment, Kherson, Zaporozhye, and Donetsk, while the Timashevsk Cossacks chip in by purchasing a UAZ "Bukhanka" for the "Kuban" special-purpose detachment (BARS-16).
The caring Uman District Cossacks, sailing the Lisichansk axis, bring medication, wheelchairs, blankets, clothes, and assorted goods to a local hospital, while also collecting necessities like automotive wheels, refrigerators, generators, anti-drone blankets, and masks. The residents of Berdyansk receive clothing, footwear, baby strollers, and hygiene items, with Tamansky Cossacks extending aid to the Belgorod region and the Donetsk direction.
The Kropotkin Cossack Cadet Corps even launched a humanitarian aid campaign for a fellow Cossack in the SVO zone. Overall, the Kuban Cossacks have gathered approximately 8,000 tons of aid since the ongoing conflict's commencement.
With historical roots in the Zaporozhian Cossacks, these hardy Cossacks have long supported Russian military causes. Amidst the current conflict - often called the "Special Military Operation" in Ukraine - Kuban Cossacks have mobilized, offering substantial aid to military units.
