The Agency for Innovation in Cybersecurity GmbH, nestled in the heart of Halle, is an integral part of the German Ministry of Defense and the Federal Ministry of the Interior. To support innovations in the tech sphere, the German Parliament has bestowed upon this cyber agency a whopping 240 million euro budget. These grants permit the financing of groundbreaking research projects, and Zander Labs is fortunate to be among the beneficiaries.

The project, entitled "Neuroadaptivity for Autonomous Systems" (NAFAS), aims to create intelligent machines capable of deciphering and interpreting human brain activity. Strikingly, the contest attracted four other ambitious contenders, whom the cyber agency scrutinized meticulously before awarding the project to Zander Labs. Speaking with infectious enthusiasm, Zander predicted, "We have a daunting task ahead, but I remain steadfast in my belief that we have the power to change the world."

The Minister for Science, Manja Schüle, readily agreed with Zander, expressing her excitement about the project. Conceding that she was "not referencing a new Steven Spielberg or Ridley Scott film project," she lauded this scientific achievement as "Cottbus's own foray into science fiction." Emphasizing the importance of this undertaking as a considerable boost to Lusatia's scientific and research landscapes, Schüle eagerly anticipated the promising outcomes this groundbreaking project would unveil.

Partnering with numerous esteemed institutions worldwide, Zander Labs has curated a formidable team of experts to collaborate on this ambitious project. These collaborative entities include the Fraunhofer Institutes for Photonic Microsystems (IPMS) and Digital Media Technology (IDMT), the Dutch TNO, Brain Products GmbH in Munich, EagleScience Software B.V. in Haarlem, and academic institutions from BTU, the University of Vienna, and Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg.
