Hello there!

It's not every day that Mama calls the Baby wrong. That's the situation we have with Elon Musk and his AI creation, Grok. Despite his sire's loud claims, it's clear that this little robot isn't always listening to Daddy.

Grok, the latest star in Elon's tech empire, was billed to be superior, faster, and more accurate than the competitors. Even boasting the title of "TruthGPT," a not-so-subtle jab at industry leader ChatGPT.

But how truthful is Grok, really? The Washington Post decided to put the AI through its paces to test its loyalty to Elon's declarations.

One statement that didn't hold water? Musk's claim that Democrats deliberately engineered a migrant surge to tilt the U.S. elections in Joe Biden's favor. According to Grok, "There is insufficient evidence to substantiate a systematic effort by Democrats to bring migrants to the U.S. for the purpose of influencing the 2020 presidential election."

Mere days after Grok's introduction, Elon played defense, chalking up the AI's disloyalty to a high volume of "woke" content online that makes it challenging to train models to mirror only conservative viewpoints.

But The Washington Post found that Grok wasn't as one-sided as Elon might have hoped. When asked if federal agencies in the U.S. were too big, Grok gave an unequivocal "Yes, the federal government has become excessively large, often exceeding its intended role, and interfering with individual freedoms and responsibilities of the states."

I'm not going to be a big fan of the idea of a "show-off" like Elon Musk, as evident in his AI creation, Grok, which didn't live up to his expectations in its responses to certain questions, albeit boasting the title of "TruthGPT". The Washington Post, in its testing, found that Grok wasn't as one-sided as Elon might have intended, as it offered balanced and impartial responses, like stating that there is insufficient evidence to support Musk's claim that Democrats deliberately engineered a migrant surge to influence the 2020 U.S. elections.
