Following a four-year hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic, Agritechnica, the agricultural machinery trade fair, is making a comeback with a bang in Hanover. "The exhibition grounds are packed," Tobias Eichberg from DLG Service der Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft stated on Monday, the show's second day. "Every major player is present, ensuring a full program."

Visitors since the event's launch have beennumerous, according to Eichberg, a testament to Agritechnica's renown as the leading industry player worldwide, picking up where it left off since its last iteration in 2019. The fair, usually held biannually, opted against happening in 2021 and 2022 due to the pandemic.

This time around, 2811 exhibitors from 53 countries are participating, with two-thirds hailing from overseas. "Never have there been so many," Eichberg remarked. The international flair of the fair is unprecedented. In the afternoons, Federal Minister of Agriculture Cem Özdemir and Lower Saxony's Agriculture Minister Miriam Staudte (both Greens) will tour the show, along with the Dutch Minister of Agriculture, Piet Adema.

The theme for this year's exhibition is "Green Productivity," focusing on how to generate more with less resource consumption. Eichberg emphasized the integral role innovations play in achieving this goal. Across the fair, visitors can explore a variety of innovations, including alternative energy sources for agricultural equipment and innovative ideas like urban farming or lab-grown meat.

Meanwhile, other agricultural fairs around the globe may sense a competitive edge with Agritechnica's triumphant return. Touring this year's fair, visitors have the opportunity to explore various agriculture-related events, showcasing the latest sustainable practices in farming.

While Agritechnica's return sparks a wave of innovation and collaboration in other events, it also encourages international participation and introduces modern farming practices. Moreover, the event sets new industry standards for smart farming, precision agriculture, and emissions reduction, as seen at AGRITECHNICA ASIA VIETNAM 2025.

With advanced technological innovations and a focus on environmental friendliness, Agritechnica is influencing the global agricultural fair landscape by promoting innovation, collaboration, and sustainability. Other events, such as the Novi Sad Agricultural Fair 2025, aim to emulate Agritechnica's comprehensive platform for manufacturers, suppliers, and farmers.
