Agrifoodtech Q3 2025: Farm Software Leads Despite Investment Drop

Agrifoodtech funding in Q3 2025 saw a significant shift, with farm management and precision ag software startups leading the pack. Despite a 32% drop in total investment to $1.7 billion, innovative food category funding grew by 42% to $165 million.

The Protein Brewery, founded in 2020, raised $35 million for its fungi-based ingredients, contributing to the growth in innovative food funding. Another notable raise came from virtual fencing startup Halter, which secured $100 million in the same quarter. Nofence, a fellow virtual fencing company, also closed a $35 million round.

Feed management platform BinSentry raised $50 million, while Revyve, focusing on egg replacement products, secured $28 million. Geospatial intelligence company EarthDaily closed a $60 million round, demonstrating the diversity of agrifoodtech investments.

Despite a decrease in total investment and deal count, which currently stands at 195 deals for 2025, the agrifoodtech sector continues to show promise. The growth in innovative food funding and the success of startups like The Protein Brewery and Halter indicate a strong interest in sustainable and innovative solutions.
