Agriculture enthusiasts commence search for female companionship in 2025, a group of farmers embarks on this endeavor
In the beautiful landscapes of Germany, farmers are not just tending to their crops and livestock, but also seeking love. The popular TV show "Farmer Wants a Wife" is set to return to RTL in the fall of 2025, bringing a new season filled with heartwarming stories and romantic encounters.
From Bavaria, we have Michael (32), a dedicated sheep farmer who not only works on his own farm but also lends a helping hand to fellow farmers when needed. In North Rhine-Westphalia, we meet Friedrich (29), an asparagus farmer who grows not only green asparagus but also wheat, barley, triticale, field beans, and corn.
The new season will introduce 16 candidates, each with their unique stories and farming backgrounds. Thomas (39) from the Erzgebirge is an organic farmer who runs a dairy farm with his parents, growing winter wheat, winter rye, oats, and peas. Michi (22) from the Ahr Valley is an agricultural and forestry student who plants Christmas trees with his father and takes care of sheep, pigs, and turkeys.
Herbert (59) from Hesse is a horse pension operator who is still married but has been separated from his wife for two years and is ready for a new love. Andreas (39) from Lower Saxony runs a contract farming operation with cattle fattening and crop farming on 250 hectares of arable land and 600 cattle.
Johann (60) from Lower Saxony is a cattle breeder looking for a new partner on his farm after the loss of his wife. Armin (39) from Baden-Württemberg is a dairy farmer who is a trained winemaker and hobby cook, placing great emphasis on the humane treatment of his animals.
Steffen (31) from the Emsland is a horse trainer who would like to take over his parents' horse breeding farm with the right partner. Insa (28) from the Lüneburg Heath is a horsewoman who cares for traumatized children, helping them restart their lives through therapeutic work with animals.
Simone (55) from Saarland operates an animal sanctuary, caring for horses, ponies, donkeys, goats, two dogs, and a cat with the help of many volunteers. Bastian (25) from Franconia is a cattle farmer who is an industrial mechanic and completed his agricultural training just a year ago.
Daniel (33) from North Rhine-Westphalia is a family man with 100 cattle, farming 35 hectares of arable and grassland. Christopher (31) from Brandenburg runs a self-sufficient farm with his mother Cordula (60) and best friend Lothar (68). Jörg (57) from Lower Saxony is a poultry farmer who also works as a master gardener.
The new season of "Farmer Wants a Wife" will be hosted by Inka Bause. The participants hail from various regions across Germany, including Lower Saxony, Erzgebirge, Baden-Württemberg, and Brandenburg. The candidates in the 2025 season include Dominik, an orchard farmer from Grieskirchen, Upper Austria; Rupert, a 77-year-old from Jennersdorf, Burgenland; and Christina, a 26-year-old milk farmer (milkmaid) from an unspecified location.
Additionally, the 25-year-old Kerstin from Carinthia is noted as a new participant near Dominik's farm. Also notable are Elizabeth from Graz (Styria) and Vanessa from Carinthia, participants connected to a related show "Forsthaus Rampensau" involving former "Farmer Seeks a Wife" candidates. Another candidate is Lukas, a livestock farmer from Zillertal (Tyrol).
Moreover, "Farmer Wants a Wife International" is scheduled for 2026. Walter (73) lives on a bio-dynamic egg farm with three of his seven adult children in Lower Saxony. The new season will feature 16 farmers and farmhands seeking love.
