Elizabeth from General Hospital should be given a substantial plotline, as she has the potential to engage in more than just longing for Lucky.

Despite the non-prospect of a relationship between General Hospital's Elizabeth and Lucky, it's crucial to offer Elizabeth more engaging storylines.

Elizabeth deserves more than just love stories on General Hospital

After the halt in the romance between Elizabeth and Lucky on General Hospital, it's high time to amplify Elizabeth's storyline.

Friends, listen up! I'm fed up with seeing General Hospital's Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) reduced to a mere supporting character. Her love story with Lucky (Joshua Jackson) is great and all, but it's high time this strong, resilient woman received some meatier storylines.

Elizabeth is an OG character who's been around for eons, and it's past time she was given the chance to spread her wings and grow further. I tire of witnessing her pop into scenes with a sugary remark before disappearing again.

During the recent investigation into the Digitalis killer at the hospital, Elizabeth did manage to shine a little, working with Lucky to try and unmask Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). But, as usual, her good work was short-lived.

Elizabeth's clash with Kristina

The first spark of hope that Elizabeth might actually get something to do came this week when she laid into Kristina (Kate Mansi) about her actions leading to an accident. Elizabeth fought tooth and nail with Kristina, warning her not to mess with Ava (Maura West) anymore.

Of course, Ms. West is bound to strike back eventually, so it'll be intriguing to see if Elizabeth follows through on her promise to turn Kristina in if she causes any further trouble. With Lucky out of the picture (for now), Elizabeth is now Kristina's only real obstacle when it comes to causing havoc.

Time for a change in Elizabeth's storyline

I'm not a fan of Ric (Rick Hearst) hanging around Elizabeth again. Lucky just left, and Ric is right there. Keep away from Elizabeth, Ric! Stick with Ava before her man Cody (Josh Kelly) sweeps her away.

It's high time Elizabeth got a storyline that allowed her to shine as an individual, rather than simply focusing on her relationship with Lucky. Perhaps it's time she tackled a medical mystery at the hospital or took on a leadership role dealing with hospital politics or a budget crisis.

Elizabeth's involvement in Portia's crisis

Portia (Brook Kerr) is currently in a spot of trouble as she tries to save her marriage and career from Drew's (Cameron Mathison) blackmailing antics. Elizabeth could really help Portia out in this impossible situation.

Another option could see Elizabeth playing a key role in the investigation into what happened to Baby Daisy. Is someone going to try and kidnap babies from General Hospital? Elizabeth would make an excellent detective, tracking down the potential kidnapper and saving the day.

A revenge plot involving Brook Lynn and Lulu

If Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) is planning some underhanded scheme against Lulu (Alexa Havins Bruening), Elizabeth could end up being involved in uncovering the truth. Who knows, maybe she'll even help BLQ crack open some birth records or medical files—and perhaps uncover a few shocking revelations along the way!

I hope that if we're not going to get a Liz/Lucky wedding and happy ending right now, the writers will at least give Elizabeth some compelling, standalone storylines that showcase her strength and resilience.

And hey, maybe one day Lucky will return, and they'll get their fairytale ending after all. Crossing my fingers!
