After 17 Years, 'Jack: Artifact Hunter' Finally Hits Screens
After languishing in development for nearly two decades, 'Jack: Artifact Hunter' is finally set to hit screens. Starring Dave Bautista and Olga Kurylenko, the film is based on the graphic novel series by Jay Jay Perry, who also directs. Bautista plays Jack, an artifact hunter in a post-apocalyptic world, with Kurylenko as Dreya, his ally in France.
The film's journey to the big screen has been tumultuous, spending 17 years in 'production hell'. Multiple changes in the production team and lead actors delayed its release. However, Perry, who began his career as a stuntman and coordinator, has held onto his directorial vision throughout.
In 'Jack: Artifact Hunter', Jack is tasked with finding and retrieving the 'Mona Lisa', hidden in a secret bunker in France. His main client is Augustus, played by Samuel L. Jackson, the leader of the most powerful British crime syndicate. The film promises a mix of high-octane chases, explosions, and shootouts, culminating in Jack riding off into the sunset with Dreya.
While 'Jack: Artifact Hunter' has faced numerous hurdles, its unique blend of post-apocalyptic action and art heist promises an exciting cinematic experience. Fans of Bautista and Kurylenko, as well as those eager for a thrilling sci-fi adventure, can look forward to the film's release.
