African Gamers Compete for Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship 2025 Via Carry1st Africa Cup
The Carry1st Africa Cup, Africa's largest Call of Duty®: Mobile tournament, is set to kick off this May, offering an exciting opportunity for gamers across the continent. This tournament, officially recognised by Activision as a qualifier for the World Championship 2025, promises a prize pool of $15,000 and a chance to represent Africa at the global finals.
The tournament includes players from seven African regions: Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, North Africa (Egypt & Morocco), Kenya, Uganda, and Francophone West Africa (Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Senegal). Over 200 teams and 1,000+ players are expected to participate, making this a truly pan-African event.
To join, players must register on the Carry1st platform or related official channels. They can compete in local or regional tournaments organized by Carry1st or through their partnered esports organizations. Teams must consist of at least 5 players plus 1 substitute.
Regional qualifiers for the tournament will be held every weekend from May to July. The regional group stages and playoffs will determine which teams advance to the LAN Grand Final in Lagos, Nigeria in August. The winner of the Carry1st Africa Cup earns Africa's only slot in the global finals.
A Wildcard Slot is available for countries like Mauritius and Tunisia, reinforcing Carry1st's commitment to wider inclusivity. African gamers can qualify for the global Call of Duty®: Mobile World Championship through the Carry1st Africa Cup.
