Affordable Commercial Van with Dacia Duster Cargo Tag: Pricing Starts at £22,995
The automotive world is abuzz with excitement as Dacia, the renowned car manufacturer, announces the arrival of its latest offering – the Duster Cargo. This van version of the award-winning mid-size SUV, the Duster, is set to hit the roads starting from October 2025.
The Duster Cargo is built by Dacia technicians alongside the regular SUV models, ensuring the same high-quality craftsmanship that Dacia is known for. While it may not be the UK's cheapest electric van, it offers a competitive price point.
The conversion from SUV to Cargo sees the removal of the rear seats and the addition of a flat wooden floor trimmed in a durable material. This transformation provides up to 1,149 litres of cargo space to the roof, along with a payload of 430kg. For extra security, the Duster Cargo features a full-length removable load cover and heavily tinted fixed rear windows.
Customers have a choice of two electrified petrol engines for the Duster Cargo. The starting point is a 130hp mild-hybrid 1.2-litre turbo engine, while those seeking more power can opt for the full hybrid model, offering 155hp and up to 59mpg. The mild-hybrid model costs £22,995, excluding VAT, and the full hybrid model costs £23,595 plus VAT.
Standard equipment for the Duster Cargo includes electric windows, air conditioning, a 7.0-inch digital instrument panel, and a 10.1-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Cruise control with a speed-limiter function, rear parking sensors, a rear view camera, and a host of safety tech are also included.
Exterior features such as 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and Y-shaped LED lights add to the Duster Cargo's striking appearance. A mesh bulkhead separates the load area from the front seats, with four lashing points to secure cargo.
Dacia is accepting orders for the new Duster Cargo now, with the first deliveries expected by the end of 2025. Customers can extend the Duster Cargo's warranty up to seven years or 75,000 miles by following the Dacia Zen offer, which adds an extra year of cover each time they book an annual service at a Dacia dealership.
It's worth noting that while the Duster Cargo is not the UK's cheapest electric van, the New Dacia Spring Cargo Cargo holds that title. The Duster Cargo's price does not include VAT.
Four years ago, the previous Duster Commercial van was priced at £12,995 before VAT. The new Duster Cargo represents a significant step forward in terms of features, performance, and safety, making it an exciting addition to Dacia's lineup.
