Note: Prior to Tim Lochner’s victory in Pirna, an AfD candidate had previously won a mayoral election in Germany twice. Robert Sesselman, an AfD associate, was elected as the district administrator of Sonneberg in 2023 with 52.8% of votes in the second round of elections. In July 2023, Hannes Loth, another AfD supporter, triumphed in the mayoral election in Raguhn-Jeßnitz, Saxon-Anhalt, securing 51% of votes in the second round.[2]
