Aerosmith and Yungblud unveil their collaborative EP titled 'One More Time', set to be released before the debut of 'My Only Angel'
In a touching tribute at the 2025 MTV VMAs, rock icons Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith joined forces with Yungblud to pay homage to the legendary Ozzy Osbourne, who passed away in July, just weeks after a moving performance of 'Changes' at the 'Back To The Beginning' Black Sabbath farewell show.
Yungblud, who found inspiration in Ozzy since a young age, teamed up with members of Extreme, Sleep Token, and more for this poignant performance. The collaboration was a fitting tribute to the iconic rock star, who had a profound impact on Yungblud's life.
The 'One More Time' EP, a joint project between Yungblud, Aerosmith, and Travis Barker, was produced by Matt Schwartz. The EP, set to release on September 19, includes a single called 'My Only Angel', for which a teaser has already been shared, featuring Yungblud and Tyler singing parts of the song.
Footage of Yungblud gifting Ozzy a necklace before the VMAs performance went viral, adding an emotional layer to the already heartfelt tribute. In an interview with NME, Yungblud spoke about the impact that Ozzy had on him since childhood, calling him a reflection of everything he went through.
Aerosmith, who released their last album 'Music From Another Dimension!' in 2012, had not worked on an original track in over a decade until this collaboration. The band retired from touring last summer due to Tyler injuring his voice, but this collaboration marks a significant return for the legendary rock band.
After Ozzy's death, Yungblud vowed to play 'Changes' at every show 'for the rest of his life'. This tribute at the VMAs was a testament to that promise, a heartfelt homage to a rock legend who left an indelible mark on the music industry and countless lives.
