Aerial Delivery: United Arab Emirates increases humanitarian aid to Gaza through their 66th relief drop

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) continues its commitment to international humanitarian efforts, as demonstrated by its actions in Gaza. This mission, known as Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, is a joint operation between the UAE and Jordan, with additional participation from Germany, Italy, Belgium, and France.

The partnership is not limited to aerial drops, but encompasses broader humanitarian efforts on the ground. Since the operation's inception, the UAE has delivered over 8,500 tonnes of aid to Gaza, including essential food, medical supplies, and vital infrastructure materials such as pipes for desalination plants.

The aerial drops, under the "Birds of Goodness" initiative, have been crucial in reaching areas in Gaza that are inaccessible by land. As of August 13, 2025, the UAE and Jordan have completed their 70th humanitarian airdrop, delivering more than 3,940 tonnes of relief items.

On the ground, the UAE coordinates aid convoy deliveries through Egypt's Rafah Crossing. Since late July 2025, 214 aid trucks carrying over 4,565 tonnes of humanitarian aid have entered Gaza. This land-based aid includes food supplies, equipment, and pipes for desalination plants.

The operation has launched the largest water desalination supply project to southern Gaza, providing a critical infrastructure upgrade amid the worsening humanitarian crisis. The UAE's relief efforts are aligned with the urgent needs amid Gaza's ongoing humanitarian crisis.

The UAE's actions highlight its commitment to supporting the Palestinian people. The airdrop aimed to provide urgent relief to displaced families in Gaza. The UAE plans to resume humanitarian airdrops over Gaza, demonstrating its continued dedication to this cause.

The UAE is coordinating with regional and global partners for rapid and effective aid delivery. This mission reflects the UAE's leadership role in providing sustained humanitarian relief to Gaza and coordinating regional and international efforts to reduce civilian suffering amid ongoing conflict.
