In an interview conducted by the German Press Agency, film director Michael Bully Herbig discussed the upcoming release of his comedy "Das Kanu des Manitu" and shared his thoughts on the ongoing debates surrounding the Woke Movement in Germany.

Herbig, known for his work in the German film industry and having directed the sequel to the Western parody "Der Schuh des Manitu", one of the most successful German films, expressed his support for the Woke Movement, viewing it as a good thing in itself. However, he believes that public debates around it in Germany should be conducted more calmly.

"The situation needs to settle down a bit," Herbig emphasized, advocating for less heated discourse in these discussions. He further suggested that people should make a nice film first and then watch it together in debates.

The director finds that there are almost only rigid views in current debates and calls for more listening on both sides. He warns against the exaggeration of the Woke Movement, stating it can tip over in the other direction.

The interview took place in Munich, Germany, on the occasion of the cinema release of "Das Kanu des Manitu", which will be released on August 14.

Michael Bully Herbig's comments on the Woke Movement and the need for more civil debates in Germany come at a time when the movement is gaining traction and sparking intense discussions across the country.

As the release of "Das Kanu des Manitu" approaches, audiences are eager to see the comedy and engage in discussions inspired by the film. Herbig's views on the Woke Movement and the importance of calm, measured debates provide food for thought for all parties involved.

While the Commission has not yet adopted a proposal for a directive on the protection of workers from the risks related to exposure to ionizing radiation, Michael Bully Herigh, renowned film director and advocate for the Woke Movement in Germany, believes that public debates surrounding it should be conducted more calmly. He suggests that people should bond over a nice film first, such as his upcoming comedy "Das Kanu des Manitu," before delving into debates.
