Adviser of Woltemade enraged: Stuttgart denies acceptance of fresh Bavarian Giga-package

Stuttgart, Germany - VfB Stuttgart has turned down a transfer offer from FC Bayern Munich for striker Nick Woltemade, according to reports from ntv.de, lme/dpa. The offer, reportedly worth over €60 million plus bonuses and a sell-on clause, did not meet Stuttgart's demanded price of €75 million.

The Supercup match between the two teams will take place on Saturday and will be broadcast on Sat.1, Sky, and live on ntv.de. Despite the ongoing transfer situation, both clubs will face each other on the pitch.

Alexander Wehrle, CEO of VfB Stuttgart, emphasized that everything should be clarified by the kick-off at the latest. Woltemade's agent, Danny Bachmann, mentioned that the demand of €75 million for Woltemade is market-unrelated and criticized the imposed deadline, indicating frustration with the club's approach to the negotiation.

According to Bachmann, there is a clear commitment from VfB for a solution-oriented approach when the next career step for Woltemade is possible. He also stated that the fast-paced world of football now offers a significant opportunity for Woltemade to join FC Bayern, a permanent Champions League participant.

Stuttgart's supervisory board, however, considered the €75 million demand realistic from their perspective and rejected Bayern's offer as “completely unfounded” and contradictory to previous agreements.

Despite the current standoff, it is widely believed at VfB Stuttgart that Woltemade's move to Bayern will happen eventually, possibly in summer 2026, suggesting this current standoff is a delay rather than a definitive rejection.

The transfer situation for the attacker is still ongoing, as no negotiations have taken place between the two clubs. The agent, Danny Bachmann, further stated that the supervisory board's response to a demand of €75 million for Woltemade lacks a basis and stands in contrast to previous agreements.

  1. In light of the ongoing transfer negotiations for Nick Woltemade, it might be necessary for both VfB Stuttgart's employment policy and community policy to address any potential fan concerns about the transfer, given the high-profile nature of the player and the club.
  2. Despite the intense transfer discussions surrounding Nick Woltemade and FC Bayern Munich, it's worth noting that these sports rivals will still be battling it out on the football field during the Supercup match on Saturday.
