Brigadiers: London's Vibrant Indian Barbecue and Sports Destination

Brigadiers, the Indian barbecue restaurant owned by JKS Restaurants, has made a name for itself in London's culinary scene. The establishment, located in Bloomberg Arcade, is a unique blend of Indian barbecue, sports bar, and entertainment venue.

The restaurant has received notable recognition, including a Travelers' Choice Award from Tripadvisor in 2024 for maintaining a high position in the top 10% of restaurants, and a "Good Cooking" distinction from the Michelin Guide. This recognition is a testament to Brigadiers' commitment to quality and its innovative Indian barbecue offerings.

The dining room at Brigadiers is a dark-wood space permeated by the smell of live fire cooking. The bar, inspired by the wood-panelled army bars of the sub-continent, is a hub of activity, with live cricket or football matches usually playing on screens throughout the bar.

The menu at Brigadiers features a variety of barbecue street food, with dishes like Lasooni Chicken Tikka Skewer, Goat Tikki Bun Kebabs, and Achari Beef Shortrib. The restaurant's reputation for high-quality dishes means that customers can order different dishes multiple times without disappointment.

In addition to its culinary offerings, Brigadiers also provides entertainment options such as a pool table and a private poker room that can be hired for £500 with a croupier.

Brigadiers is the brainchild of the Sethi siblings, Jyotin, Karam, and Sunaina Sethi, who also operate Trishna, Hoppers, and the two Michelin-starred Gymkhana. Gymkhana, one of only four Indian restaurants in the world to hold two Michelin stars, is another testament to the Sethi siblings' commitment to quality and innovation in Indian cuisine.

With its unique offerings and lively atmosphere, Brigadiers is being tipped as a possible winner in the Best Restaurant category of Toast the City. To find out who makes the cut in Toast the City, keep an eye on the Toast the City website.
