## Tragic Gang-Rape and Murder of a 13-Year-Old Madrasah Student in Savar, Dhaka
A shocking case of gang-rape and murder has rocked the community in Savar, Dhaka, as a 13-year-old madrasah student was brutally taken from her home and left for dead. The case, filed under the Women and Children Repression Prevention Act on 15 July night, has led to the arrest of a 16-year-old boy and named several other individuals as suspects.
According to the case document, the 16-year-old boy is the main accused, while another female teenager, identified as the one who lured the victim from her home, is also named. Two adult men, Rakib (25) and Ashiq (20), along with 1-2 unnamed individuals, are also listed as accused in the case.
On 13 July, around 7am, the victim was called out of her home by the female accused, who pretended to be her friend. Tragically, this was the last time the victim's mother saw her daughter alive. The victim's body was later found in a house in the Kaundia Baksatra area on 15 July morning.
Upon receiving the news, the victim's mother rushed to the scene and found her daughter lying in a bloody and unconscious state. With the help of locals, she managed to rescue her daughter and took her to a local hospital, where doctors declared her dead. The girl's body was then sent to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital in the capital for autopsy.
The Savar Model Police Station is handling the investigation, with Md Helal Uddin, the Inspector (operations), leading the team. The 16-year-old boy was arrested in connection with the crime and was sent to court on Wednesday morning. However, the whereabouts of the other suspects remain unknown, and the investigation is ongoing to gather more details about the case.
As the investigation continues, the community is left reeling from the horrific crime and urging the authorities to bring the perpetrators to justice. The prosecution of the case will take place in a court of law, where the accused will face the consequences of their actions.
