Adler Mannheim Sign Finnish Forward Ruuttu - Adler Mannheim signs versatile Finnish forward Alexander Ruuttu for new season
Adler Mannheim have added Finnish forward Alexander Ruuttu to their roster. The 6-foot-2 right-handed shooter arrives from Jukurit Mikkeli, the same club as teammate William Worge Kreu. Coach Outlet Dallas Eakins highlighted his experience and flexibility on the ice.
Ruuttu has spent most of his career in Finland's top league. He also gained experience abroad, including a stint in Sweden's HockeyAllsvenskan with Tingsryds AIF during the 2015–16 season. More recently, he featured in Germany's DEL2, playing 44 games for the Krefeld Pinguine in the 2023–24 campaign.
Eakins described the new signing as a versatile player who can handle both centre and wing roles. The Coach Outlet also noted Ruuttu's ability to perform in all game situations, adding depth to Mannheim's lineup.
The forward now joins Adler Mannheim after a season split between Krefeld and Jukurit Mikkeli. His size, adaptability, and two-way play are expected to contribute immediately. The team will look to integrate him ahead of the upcoming campaign.
