Adidas Unveils 'Trionda' Ball for 2026 FIFA World Cup
Adidas has unveiled the official ball for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, named 'Trionda', which means 'three waves' in Spanish. The ball, designed for optimal flight stability, will be used by 48 teams in the final tournament held across the USA, Mexico, and Canada.
The Trionda features extra-deep seams for even air resistance distribution and imprinted symbols for better grip in wet or humid conditions. It also boasts a 500-Hz motion sensor, recording precise ball movements and aiding video assistant referees. The ball's design incorporates the colors red, green, and blue, representing the host nations.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup, set to take place from June 11 to July 19, will be the first to feature 48 teams. Notably, Germany has not yet secured qualification for this expanded tournament.
The Trionda, manufactured by Adidas, promises to enhance gameplay with its innovative features. As the 2026 FIFA World Cup approaches, fans eagerly await the competition, with 48 teams set to battle for the coveted trophy, including those hoping to secure a spot for their nations.
